These terms are the agreement between you and Lipi Learn Punjabi for the use of LipiLearn. By downloading or using the app, you accept them.
LipiLearn (the "App") is operated by Lipi Learn Punjabi, Punjab, India ("we", "us"). Together with our Privacy Policy, these Terms govern your use of the App and of lipilearn.org (the "Site"). If you don't agree with them, please don't use the App.
1. Who may use LipiLearn
LipiLearn is built for children, but the account holder must be an adult. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account, subscribe, or agree to these Terms. By doing so you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you create, and that you agree to these Terms on their behalf as well as your own.
2. Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we send you. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Please give us accurate details and keep them current — you can update them in Parent Zone at any time.
If you sign in with Apple, Apple provides us with an identifier and, unless you choose to hide it, an email address. You can review what you share in your Apple ID settings.
Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.
3. Child profiles
You may create profiles for the children in your care. Please enter a first name only — no surnames, schools or other identifying details. You control those profiles: you can rename, add or delete them in Parent Zone at any time, and deleting a profile removes that child's progress.
You are responsible for supervising your child's use of the App and for the device they use it on.
4. Subscriptions and billing
LipiLearn is free to download and includes free content. LipiLearn Premium unlocks all 35 Gurmukhi letters, word and sentence tracing, every game and all future content, and is offered as:

Prices are shown in your local currency inside the App and may vary by country and with local taxes. We may change prices for future billing periods; where the law requires it, Apple or Google will ask you to confirm before any increased price is charged.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google, not by us. Your subscription is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. We never receive or store your card or bank details.
5. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Cancelling is done in your store account, not through us:
- iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → LipiLearn → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → LipiLearn → Cancel
Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Google Play. We can't issue refunds for purchases made through the stores, though we're happy to help you approach them.
If we offer a free trial and you subscribe during it, billing begins when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand.
6. Licence and content
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use LipiLearn for your family's own non-commercial use.
All content in the App — letters, artwork, audio, characters, text, software and the LipiLearn name and mascot — belongs to Lipi Learn Punjabi or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not copy, distribute, sell, rent, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works from any part of the App, or remove any proprietary notices, except where the law expressly permits it.
Any feedback or suggestions you send us may be used freely to improve LipiLearn, with no obligation to you.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for anything unlawful, or in breach of these Terms
- Attempt to access accounts, data or systems that aren't yours
- Interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, or overload our servers
- Circumvent or tamper with subscription checks, or use the App with a modified or jailbroken build to obtain premium content without paying
- Share your account credentials so others can access paid content
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep LipiLearn available and improving, and we add new content over time. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll give notice in the App or by email. Continuing to use LipiLearn after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you don't, you may cancel and stop using the App.
The App needs an internet connection for signing in, saving progress and confirming subscriptions. Some activities work offline, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
9. Ending your account
You may delete your account at any time in Parent Zone → Profile. What happens to your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, and you can ask us for permanent erasure by email.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, or where required by law. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — please cancel that through Apple or Google as well.
10. Disclaimers
LipiLearn is an educational aid provided "as is" and "as available". While we work hard on accuracy, we don't warrant that the content is error-free, that the App will suit any particular purpose, or that it will produce any particular learning outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability can be limited under those laws, it is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of re-supply.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of LipiLearn. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the App.
12. Apple and Google
These Terms are between you and Lipi Learn Punjabi, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its content, and have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Where Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies, these Terms operate alongside it; if they conflict, the more protective terms for you prevail on that point.
13. General
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing a right isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours as part of a sale or restructure of our business.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Punjab, India. If you use LipiLearn elsewhere, you're responsible for complying with your own local laws.
